Morning Assembly (Attendance, etc...)

Procedure in every Morning:

Reporting time & Check where to assemble - 7.05am (according to school time)

Attendance Taking - 7.05am to 7.10am (Outside HOD Room)

*Put your bags neatly at the designated area for us & make sure that it do not block the walkway

Duty Starts @ 7.10am (councillors on duty are to be at their position)

2nd Bell Ring - 7.25am (councillors are to go their seating area & sit closer to the students and Class I/Cs are to make sure that students around you do not talk)

After Flag Raising & Devotion - 7.30am (councillors & students are not suppose to move around unless it's necessary)

Latecomers are to be seated at the back of the assembly area (councillors doing late-coming duty will hand over them to Jian Hao & Wesley and Do tell the latecomers that they can be dismiss once their classes are moving)

Dismissal - 7.45am (class I/Cs are to make sure they stand quickly & Move in a orderly fashion & check their attire! ++ Ask them to pick up litters if there is. *class I/Cs need not follow your class back to their classroom)

Pre-assembly Duties

· Area Patrollers: (Switch off all the lights/fans @ 7.15am & Chase all students to assembly area & then patrol around assembly area)

1. ALL COUNCILLORS are to report to school at 7am SHARP or earlier.

a)  Quick attire and hair checks will be conducted in the SC Room by the EXCO at 7am SHARP (please queue up outside the SC room).

b)  ALL are to report to Sheryl & Jordan at the assembly area (gathering before assembly).

c)  During the gathering, which will take place from 7.05am to 7.10am, there may be announcements about your duty and such.

d)  Councillors arriving after 7.10am will be recorded as LATE (attendance – we do not expect latecomers).

e)  There will be announcements and other reminders during attendance taking/gathering (so it’s very important for you all to be there) and everyone will be dismissed from the gathering area to start your duty immediately.

f)   It is imperative that you are punctual and better yet, early.

1. Councillors who have taken their attendance are to start duty by 7.10am. Class ICs will be given their own placards and are to position themselves at the assembly area.

2. Area patrollers are to switch off lights at designated places and start chasing students to the assembly area.

-          Faith, Jeslyn and Regina, Cindy and Zhi Ying, Hui Shan and Jina  - Canteen (foyer included)

-          Amos and Quan Xi, Chanel and Hui Ling - CMS Area (L1 classroom block included)

-          Zhi Yi and Maurtin, Yan Ting and Afrah - ISH and fitness corner

3.Councillors on Class IC duty are to:

- Display placards to direct pupils to you.

- Pass the placards to the 1^st pupil that arrives and kindly ask them to display their class pla-card.

a) Maintain orderliness and noise level.

b) At the end of assembly, maintain orderliness and noise level as you lead the class back to their respective venues.

c) While dismissing them from the assembly area, check their hair, attire and earrings.

d) Pull those with unsatisfactory hair/attire/etc out and give them a warning, telling them what to change/buy/remove.

e) Warn them that you will check their hair and attire the next day. Do it!!!

f) Bring your class back to their respective classrooms (Sec1s to Wesley Hall) and leave once they have deposited their bags, go back to your classroom.

g) The whole school will most likely assembly in the Quadrangle or Hall (if it’s raining). Councillors in charge of Logistics are to carry the chairs and arrange them at the sides and the back of the Hall. There should be a total of 80 chairs for the teachers.

4. Those on latecoming duty have to usher students to assembly area as quickly as possible, especially if students come after the national anthem. There will be no booking of students on the first week; therefore the latecomers will only be booked on the second week onwards.

5. Hair Check – Mr Kang will inform the school of hair check procedures and Class ICs are to help accordingly.
