Final Announcements for Bintan Trip
Dear Councillors,
Final reminder and answers to questions for everyone!
For those going Bintan:
1) Report in the School Hall at 7.45am in your PE attire (Boys- PE shorts / Girls- PE shorts inside skirt) and track shoes with white socks. Recommended to wear proper socks for sec2s - all will be going for roller blading [sports exposure]
2) Check all the items on the packing list that is provided under the "Bintan Trip 2010" page.
3) Do bring one more extra shirt for changing in between activities (sweating).
4) Remember to bring your:
- Passport
- Personal Medications
- Insect Repellent
- 1.5 Litre water bottle (to be filled before going Bintan)
- Torch Light (highly recommended)
- Paper bag (carry donated items) + Ziploc bags for waterproofing purposes
- Writing Materials
5) Bring required craft materials/printed work for Service Learning (CIP).
6) For the local school visit, you may wear your track shoes but white socks are to be worn as we are visiting a school.
For those only going on the 19th Nov (SC Retreat) - 8am - 6pm:
1) Report in the School Hall at 7.55am in your PE attire (Boys- PE shorts / Girls- PE shorts inside skirt) and track shoes with white socks. Recommended to wear proper socks for sec2s & 1s - Going for roller blading [sports exposure]
2) Bring water bottle and writing materials + FORMS if you have not handed up.
3) Lunch is provided only.
***Sec Twos & Threes Band members have to attend band practice from 10am-12pm tomorrow which is during our CIP Preparation - Part 1. Please inform your group members what you have prepared for the CIP before you for band and you all will still have another part at night.
Q&A
Can we still donate items for Bintan?
Yes, tomorrow will be the last collection day.
Will they give us a bag for the trip?
Yes, day pack bags will be provided for all on the second day onwards.
What if we don't have enough school-approved tees?
All of you should be enough as required, and you can wear your home clothes after showering everyday.
Can we wear coloured socks as we do not have enough white socks?
Yes, you may but white socks is preferable.
Do we have to bring school shoes?
No, track shoes is alright and only need to bring your slippers.

- E.g. Numbers. 1 = one (in English) = satu (in Bahasa) and you draw ONE apple to represent one.
2. Each group is responsible for making up to three A3 size poster with the orphans, so leaders/group leaders are to decide on 4 topic (3 + 1extra)

The kayak 1 star ($50) is now fully subsidised so you do not need to fork out any cash at all.

Updates on Forest Adventure - Leadership Outdoor Course
Hi Councillors,
Just to remind all of you again from the previous announcement,

Venue: Bedok Reservoir Forest Adventure Centre
Dismissal Time: 6.30pm
Attire: Any school-approved tee, Long track pants & sport/track shoes
Advice all of you to bring as little as possible, and do remember to bring a bottle of water along. ALL of you need to hand up both the Reply Slip (detached) and the Risk Acknowledgement and Disclaimer BEFORE 8th of November, Monday 12pm. Drop into the box outside the SCroom. If you really can't hand up on time because of difficulties, you MUST remember to sign and bring it on that day.

Some of our Sec2s organised a BBQ for all, everyone is invited to join them for BBQ and don't miss this chance to bond together as one big family! It's optional. "It's worth spending time knowing more about each other!"

The timing of the kayak 1 star certification is changed to 1 pm to 6 pm (5 hrs) for both days, 29th and 30th of November. Interested councillors, do sign up by this wednesday.
PECs who have signed up with Irwin previously, your names have been written on the SC board. Please confirm your attendance by signing against your name.
The consent and relevant forms will be placed outside the SC room on Thursday. Please sign and return them to my pigeon hole, 60 by next friday, 12 Nov.
Spread the word around fellow SCs.
