GUIDELINES FOR COMMON DUTIES
1. Main Gate and Side Gate duty
· Start duty at 7.15am
· As pupils walk in, check their attire.
· Start booking latecomers at 7.25am
· Lead the latecomers to sit in Assembly areas. Latecomers are not allowed to go back to their classes until school is dismissed.
2. Assembly Duties
Before 7.25am
- Start duties punctually by 7.15am.
- Student Councillors are not supposed to talk when performing your duties.
- Class I/Cs are to focus on pupils who are not reading or talking.
- Every Student Councillor (including patrollers) is to check the attire and hair of the class.
Attendance-taking
· Report to one of the EXCO members at CMS Foyer at 7.10am/8.10am everyday to have your attendance taken.
· Should you be late (after assembly), please go to the general office and take the ORANGE attendance book (placed above the class record book shelve) to mark yourself as LATE - L and place it back.
At 7.25am
- Sit at designated area for Student Councillors
- Sing the national anthem and school song loudly. Set an example and be a good role model to your peers.
- Commanders are to sing into the microphone. Be firm and speak clearly. Be an authoritative figure.
- Do not walk about after the national anthem.
During Dismissal
- Class I/Cs are to walk down the aisle to ensure orderliness.
- Assist the teachers and patrollers to check the attire and hair of the class before they move off.
- Make sure the class moves off quickly.
- Ensure that the class you are in charge of leaves the assembly premises in a quiet and orderly manner.
- When the school is told to be dismissed, Student Councillors and Class I/Cs are to ask classes to get ready to stand as quickly as possible, as commanders will not be calling class by class.(Take immediate action once commander dismisses the school)
- Follow the respective dismissal route for your class.
Level I/Cs
· Ensure that Class I/Cs of your level are doing their duties promptly.
· Help classes of your respective level to be dismissed orderly.
